Flyphoenixx is coming soon!

I had never really had the chance to write music for orchestra purely for beauty's sake, but thanks to certain people who allowed me to twist their arms along with co-conspiritors too-much-time and “space” I managed to wangle this thing in my favour.

Flyphoenixx was inspired by my growing up and living in Tasmania. Tasmania is a place you can't really live without a certain awareness of nature. It's a place for dreaming and hearing yourself breathe.

I always hoped this music could spawn some kind of story, create a new place in your imagination - a different world. If it does that for you, not being a storyteller  in the normal sense myself I would be honoured if you would share your version of that place with me however it comes; a word, a description, a picture, a poem, a character, a font, something knitted, a screenprint. Take a photo of it – post a postcard. As my friend Anita Dineen says “sharing is caring,” and one of my most favourite things - and many of my most beautiful memories are of sharing creative ideas with friends.
